I usually only sleep for 6 hours or less a night. I've done it for forever, I usually make up for it with a couple naps throughout the week.

there are buyers on here for the phone systems, and there are buyers for the phones themselves. All you really need to do is tell them what you have, let them make you an offer, and walk away happy. most pay shipping too.

I opened one of the APC 1000's tonight and found two batteries swollen so much they wouldn't slide out. Had to take it apart just to get them out. I did test it first but it would not work so it got scrapped.

I got some more digital phones and thought I would post some pics with model numbers.

    Nortel M7310
I thought there would be more inside. There was 1 mylar, a small circuit board, 1 speaker, the LCD glass and the small circuit board with gold fingers that was connected to the LCD.

    Tadiran DKT-2320
This phone has 2 boards in it. The small board came out of the display and has gold plating on both sides. My camera does not show it well.

The other side of the bigger board has gold plating for the keypad and button contacts.

This is a Cisco IP Phone 7962

The smaller green board is from the display.

The blue board has a lot of gold plating for the keypad and button contacts.

I found a new source for scrap this week. So far I have retrieved about 300 pounds of phones. Some of them are shown in above pics but most of the phones were standard 2500 desk and 2554 wall mount analog phones.

This phone is similar to the Tadiran DKT-2320 except it has a third board giving it handsfree capabilities.

Picked up a few things during my lunch break.
I ended up with 1 amplifier, a UPS, an old tape drive and a telecom power supply. There was also 7 PC's, 2 servers, 3 small printers, 1 small monitor and 3 big monitors, about 50 pounds of metal and about 90 pounds of insulated wire.
Now before some of you even mention E**y or CL , all of this was removed from a basement after a water line broke and sprayed everything for several hours.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the monitors. I would like to scrap them but then I have tubes I can't get rid of. Best Buy charges here and Goodwill won't take them anymore.

Very nice score. Nice mix of computers makes for less MONOTONOUS work. I like that word

    Avaya 9040 cordless

I found another interesting phone today and wanted to post some pics of it. A lot of gold plating on both sides.

I still repair the 9040 phones, don't get very many any more but I charge a lot to repair one.

I found the 9040 phone in the dumpster at work Friday. The Cisco and the Tadiran phones were pulled from the dumpster also along with a lot of analog phones.

My Ewaste focuses on PC scrap and gold on gold chips. The other stuff soaks up too much time.

Well good for you. If I had my druthers, I'd focus on the same thing also. Keep in mind that I have a full time job and I only scrap part time and everything I receive is free. To me nothing is a waste of time if you enjoy doing it.

The main reason I'm posting pics of phones is to help other members see what's inside them so they can determine wheather it's worth their time to scrap them or not.

It was a good week. 5 loads (Ford Ranger) in 5 days.
They've been cleaning out the warehouse where I work and I was able to bring home 5 loads of telecom equipment last week. I had already processed and hauled off a lot of it before I took the pic. I'm still sorting through the rest of it. It's all a mess because they had it on pallets outside for about a month in the snow, ice and rain. The worst part is the critters had already moved in. Can't complain, it was all free and I didn't have to drive out of my way to get it. Here is what I've found so far.
11 big phone systems with cards and power supplies.
    About 500 pounds of shred.
    Over 100 telephones.
    3 PC's
    200 pounds of batteries.
    70 Telular 800sc wireless devices.
150 pounds of insulated copper wire.
5 boxes of misc. items like power supplies, wireless phones, Valcom paging units and other things that I have never seen before.
I'm hoping to get more this week.

A few things I picked up last week.
The first 3 pics are of a Telular 800SC wireless device.
The next 2 pics are of a Telular Wireless model number 1C02A161. Gold plating on both sides of each board and a T-Mobile sim card.
NEC Dterm Series III ETJ-16D digital phone.
Picked up 12 rectifiers today. Cleanout continues at work and hopefully will be able to bring a load home everyday. There are still about 20 of these rectifiers in the construction dumpster.

Brought home 4 big boxes of old digital phones, 2 battery back ups and 51 old PC's today. There's still about 25 PC's left to pick up tomorrow. I wasn't able to look through all of them but a lot have 486 processors and 1 had something special.

    My first.

I started breaking down the computers I brought home last week. Opening each one hoping to find more nice boards and processors. This was one of many that had critters living inside.
