I have a new light in my garage and if the board is positioned just right the gold plating shows up better.

2 backplanes from a Nortel PBX system. I do like the big PBX phone systems.
Got a call last week asking if I wanted some digital and IP phones from a big PBX system. It seems they were taking up warehouse space and were headed for the dumpster. I picked up about 20 big boxes and there were 40 to 50 per box. They have some good boards in them but the plastic is another problem. You start out with 20 boxes of phones and when you're done you have 30 boxes of plastic no one wants.
I'm just up the freeway I need to come to Nashville on some other biz if u would like to donate

to bad you have not got into ebay......I'd say that board would bring about 10 times scrap value (around $30?)
Mike I have considered it but it's not something I can do right now. Almost all of the scrap I'm getting right now has been tested and is defective. I'm getting scrap telecom from 3 different companies that have labs set up to test everything. If it's good they resell it themselves and if it's bad it has been going in the dumpster. I have talked to the powers that be and they are finally setting everything to the side for me and they call me when they need it picked up. All for free and they are located within a few miles from where I work.
it does not have to work i sell many items as is for collectors or parts
This is what's left over from the 20 boxes of phones I received recently.
34 boxes of plastic.
I talked to an old friend a few weeks ago and found out the company he works for has been shipping their old lead acid batteries to properly dispose of them.
They told me I could come and pick up what they had and I ended up with 1040 pounds of batteries.
I received a call later today and they have found more. They have 30 more batteries that are between 100 and 125 pounds each.
Might have to make several trips.
I picked up some Lucent/Avaya voicemail PC's that were headed for the dumpster this week. I found them interesting and wanted to share.
Now, before yall start reminding me about better than scrap value, I know about it as well as ebay, cl and the other various ways of selling things.
I don't need to be reminded.
I'm not trying to be a d**k but it just gets old after a while. Save it for the noobs.
I say that with a smile on my face and a song in my heart.
You guys and gals are really awesome.

Large socket MB from a Nortel BCM phone system.
I really enjoy this thread, there are a few places around with phone systems and I know when the time is right or opportunity knocks how to go about working a deal from this thread alone.
just from all the hard work and effort put here in this thread.
Thanks jimicrk
