Take care with that one Jim. One of my customers inherited a partially restored Firebird that had been sitting in his Father in Laws garage for years. He fueled it up, pulled out of the station, and the carb caught on fire.
The fuel system gets awfully tender over the years. The old machines weren't made to run on ethanol blended gas. It's wicked corrosive. You pretty much have to go through everything from the gas tank to rebuilding the carb before turning the key to see if she will crank. It's a labor of love.
