    A Photo of my home brew IDE Dock

    It isn't pretty, but it has been my go to tool for years
    AND: It was free

    I took an external CD drive (IDE - so it has to be an older one)
    Took out the guts and mounted it to a piece of plywood.



    Voila!
    Home made IDE dock
    I have been through about 5 store bought IDE & SATA docks in the same amount of time
