Value in Tearing Down non-working copiers.

I am bidding on Lanier LD225 Copiers. I've tore a Konika Minolta apart before but these...anyone have any idea what their scrap value actually is?

If those coppiers are the big office type coppiers then I just bring them to the scrap yard and take the .095#. Took three to the yard once and got 130.00 for them. Not bad pay for about 2-3 hours work.

If the board is easy to get to, I'll rip and kick (meaning rip out the board and kick the rest to my shred).

Don't forget the paper. Those big ones usually have half a pack of paper in them so I never have to buy paper for my printer at home.

Wow, they're not even that old. Apparently these were first released in 2005. Any chance you could resell them or their parts? There are suppliers online that are selling little plastic replacement gears for this machine at $40 each.

Some of the mirrors on them can be gold plated. If you are already taking it apart look at that too. If not don't waste your time its work to get to them.
