Silver plated RF transmitter receiver components

i got some heavy transmitting and receiving stuff probably from the 80s. they have big heavy aluminum blocks that appear to be plated inside and out with silver a very white color. the walls on these aluminum blocks are 1/4 inch thick. does that stuff have any extra scrap value.

Ive got the same material. I wanted to see about getting the silver off of what I presume to be aluminum. It seems that nitric acid will work. I have 6 of these blocks I'm interested in working on. Anyone have any ideas?

The paint will need to be removed and they are low value silver scrap. This material is being turned down by silver refiners all over the country. There are some people doing it but if silver prices go any lower they won't be for long.
