$10 a piece? Good luck with that.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.
I think the last xboxes I bought (they were original xboxes) I paid $1 each..........I didn't even try to sell them just broke down for scrap

its a steeper gamble but well worth it if your close by and have the time to spend going through it
Subject to a whole mess load of limitations working xboxes 360 right now are worth $100 in trade in.

I think you only get $100 off not $100 for each one you send in to Microsoft. But I could be wrong. If it is the person that buys this lot can make a killing on selling xbox ones.
Your correct. You get $100 of the price of an Xbox One, but if you think about it selling a brand new Xbox one would be a lot easier then selling a beat up old Xbox 360. Especially if you sell them at a discount. Picture this. You buy 150 Xbox 360s at $10 each for a total cost of $1,500. Lets say you get 75 of them to work well enough to trade in for new Xbox ones. You then sell those Xbox ones for $20 less then the price they are being sold for new. You just made $4,500. Depending on how much time it takes to fix up the Xboxs it might very well be worth it for someone.
That and I'm sure one of the limitations is only one trade-in offer per household or something like that. Even if they didn't have that limitation that would be a LOT of capital tied up. 75 Xbox ones with $100 off each would still require well over 20k investment.
I think the limit is 1 per trade in/purchase not one per household, but if anyone wanted to actually do it they had better make sure. Also, I don't think that they would have to have that much capital tied up. New electrics are fairly liquid so they could do a few at a time selling them to free up capital for the next batch. The main worry is that the promotion end June 2. That's not a lot of time to go through that many Xboxs. It does seem risky to me. If I had the capital and the correct location I don't think I would have the balls to risk it.
also the fact that these are coming from a repair shop, and most are going to be missing any parts that were worth harvesting, I think you would be truly hard pressed to get half of them working...
~You have to start somewhere to get anywhere~
I just re-read the deal and noticed that it's only for Xbox 360 slim or elite.
Ya and the guy selling the lot probably kept all those. Also didn't see and ps3s in there I don't think.
Well it is craigslist if you were interested you could ask him if he could do less and offer $1,500-$2,000. I had a roommate in college that would fix the x-box 360s, he had probably 100 units laying around and fixed them up and sold 2-3 units per week. He said they were as easy to fix as a PC. I forget how he was able to do it but, he was able to return some of them to Microsoft under warranty. I dont think it is the same warranty as back then though. If you have worked with them before and know what you are doing it might be worth some a try but, if not I would just pass.
