I tried to auction these off but didn't get any bids...I decided to pop them open and figured the boards may just go as motherboard or something similar. Let's just say they go in the shiny pile instead!
They are double sided gold, if you look at the metal shields you can see where one is flipped over.

Are you sure that it's not copper? That section is the antenna array for the wireless card.

I have always mixed these boards or any boards from wireless pc cards with hard drive boards.. I have never had a complaint from my buyer and I am very confident buying these as hard drive boards.
and yea that is a gold trim, copper would be more red
