    Exclamation better prices than ewasted...Michigan

Looking for a buyer in Michigan...near metro Detroit. Hit me up.....

I do not spew profanities; I enunciated them clearly, like a f***ing lady.

Look in the buyers section. You may find someone there but not sure if you are going to get bettter pricing than ewasteds. I would also think that if that is what you are looking for it would be more professional to send a pm to a buyer rather than title a post like you have. JMO.

And this is why many companies don't publish their price lists on their websites.

Nickle holding up a dollar! - Roy, from Shipping wars.

He also liked to say "Nickle holding up a dollar people!".

That is all. Oh an..good luck with finding that better buyer. Far as I know Ewasted an Co, are some of the higher payers in this game. Others may beat them on specific things but their still where most want to be when it comes to buying.

Sirscrapalot - Shipping wars sucks now without Roy, wasn't that great to begin with but **** that dude was the funniest jerk ever.

Also not a good thing to bash a buyer who is a very Important fixture to this forum.

Now are you looking for better prices overall or good prices with no shipping? If you find someone locally and factor in the shipping costs to ship out, then sometimes it "pays better" local if you can find someone.

not to mention its not very good manners/etiquette to single out someone

should rather have said something like this:
"looking for a buyer with better prices than those offered by buyers on the forum"

    or something to that effect

but i see you changed it
    good for you.

If you’re in the Detroit area (I think you are if memory serves), you’re really not far from eWasted’s processing facility. If you go with their prepaid shipping route, you can probably get a really good deal and your box will be there in one or two days. It costs me ~0.40-0.45 cents/pound to ship from upstate NY depending on the weight of the box. You can probably get a better rate than that.

Also, if you go into the live chat through their website and/or leave a message, the magical eWaste live chat lady will tell you flat out if something is or isn’t worth shipping.

    Good luck

Since this is an offer to "sell" e-scrap, I believe the guidelines should be followed.

Please read, understand and abide by the following rules.

    * - ADVERTISING - Advertising to buy or sell scrap is not allowed on the main forum. To advertise as a buyer or seller of anything, you must first upgrade your membership on the forum here, Payments, then post your buy or sell offer in the Scrap Buyers and Sellers section of the forum, here. If you post offers to buy or sell scrap to other members on the main forum, anywhere except the buyers and sellers section, your post/thread will be deleted and might lead to a ban from the forum!

    * - Don't insult, bash or make rude unnecessary posts towards other members for any reason. If you don't have something positive to say, don't say it, you're wasting your time. We frown upon this type of negativity will zero tolerance and will likely result in someone placing a temporary or permanent ban your account and/or place restrictions on your account.

Please correct me if I am wrong. But IMHO....this thread should be deleted. At the least, have the title edited. Bro

I think the thread was worded poorly but I dont feel it was meant to bash, insult or be rude. It was unprofessional though. As far as making an offer to sell something thats also a bit of a grey area as well. There have been numerous posts by numerous members, mostly newbs, who have asked about if there was a buyer in their area. As it is not a direct offer to sell something it can be inferred that they have material to sell.
There is also an ebay section here where members post what they have on there for sale. That is a direct offer to sell something isn't it?
I would like to hear from the OP on what the intention of the thread was.

The ebay section is set up for that though, BC. It is why it was started.
If someone is sayin..HIT ME UP...don't think that is a gray area of solicitation for sale.
The way it is titled has the potential of putting buyers at odds. We have a number of great buyers here, all of whom are listed in the buyers/sellers section. They pay for the privilege to be there, to advertise and reap the benefits, of the forum.

Again, just my opinion. One which may be in the strictest reading of the guidelines. If I am the one out of line, then I ask that my posts be deleted, so as not to create any confusion.

But in my mind, it is a little more than poor wording, to single out one of the most credible people we have to sell to on the forum, and ask someone else to compare and pay better than them, in an open post. Bro

I agree with you Bro and I stated that the OP could have worded the thread better.

As far as the Ebay thread and posting an offer to sell material, well I guess we will differ on that.

I think yo'd be best to look to reduce shipping costs- whether you go with Ewasted or someone else.

I sent about 200 pounds of E-Waste to Ewasted recently. It was about $100 to send it about 2000 miles. Not bad, but if I could have waited for a full pallet and done that, I would have received more bang for my buck.

    Shipping is the key.

One other thought not just aimed at Brrimcold but others as well. I did make a trip to ewasted about a year ago. It was a pleasure to meet Mario, my wife and I learned alot about sorting that we didn't know. Each buyer has their own standards as to what material is what grade.

If I were you Brrimcold I would set aside some time and make the trip to meet Mario in person and learn some of what you don't know. I made my trip nearly three years after my first sale to ewasted and I still learned somethings.

Truely I wish you the best of luck and a little error in wording in a post is not the big a deal and you will not suffer for it. Jump back in and let us know if you locate a buyer. Mike

Roy passed away back in Jan. Jonnie. Not sure where you got I said he was alive or anything else tho. At the end I clearly say the show sucks now without him.
