    I've noticed Hard drive boards seem to have more little capacitors of some sort on them, very small ones, at least the few I've gottten

    Exactly. I try to handle my boards one time unless they need more processing to increase their value.

    i should have thought of that from the beginning but i was so happy taken those drives apart and seeing that gold that i just threw everything into a plastic storage container but now i'm facing my day of reckining...sorting them out

    I know when i break down computers i have all my bins in front of me and each item goes in the appropriate bin. When it comes to hard drives or CD drives. i just toss those in separate bins and when i have nothing else to do or the bin starts to overflow i just pull those out and sit in front of the tv and go to town. Simple and easy and makes the process easy to see what i have instead of having stuff everywhere.

    I also pull the small jumper on the plug in end and save them till I have nothing to do at nite.
    Split them with wire cutter on the edge and look for the gold wire inside. A little adds up a little bit at a time.
