Don't bother trying to remove that. You should be able to sell it as Aluminum breakage

I ran a knife blade between the glass 'n steel down all four sides and cut the adhesive holding it together. the backplate is steel, though does have a few aluminum inserts. I usually have pretty good luck finding answers with the search feature, I found the question asked, but didnt find a definitive answer .. Is there gold in the mylar ribbon, or only the connections?
Is there gold 'in' the glass? or on the glass where these mylars connect??

Yep you can peel the backing back, mine was Ali sheet.
I used a screwdriver, something wider would be better.
Then stuff peices of cardboard in the gap to keep it open.
Then keep peeling it back all around till it pops off.
Use a scraper to scrape the glue/foam off.
Then.pop the inserts out.
