my question is what are the screws that allow you to screw the sides of computer cables into them made of? I have narrowed it down to brass or stainless.

stainless - haven't seen any made of brass. Standoffs on the other hand..
I just googled standoffs and that looks exactly like what im talking about except they are always chrome colored
Standoffs will be behind the motherboard attaching the board itself to the case...
~You have to start somewhere to get anywhere~
now I see standoffs are under the mother board connected to the tin shell. now are standoffs always brass?
thank you guys so much
A lot of electronics have coated brass. Most of the connector screws that I have run across are coated. If you're curious, just hit it with a file or your grinding wheel.
