Your spot on. I did not say that they were the LED style and not CRT's. I do have a place to take the CRT's as they are quite toxic to the environment and I strive to have a 100% score on my material being recycled. Heck I procesed two bags of kids toys a fella brought to me knowing there was next to nothing in them, I choose to do the right thing rather than always make a buck.
That's good you're doing your part for the environment and yes, CRTs are highly toxic because of their lead content. TV manufacturers market some TVs as LED TVs but their simulated as only their lighting is LED instead of the tube that lights them normally(you can tell which one's are LED lighted because the screen's more whiter then others). A true LED TV are like the outdoor theater or the screen that's in vegas where you have a physical LED blinking colors in sequence with others to form a picture from far away. I probably know more about electronics then I should.
If you don't do anything major with the screens and their in good shape, they sell like hotcakes on
Ebay to people like me who accidently trip over a cord, knocking the tv over, only to find the bottom corner is now filled with black liquid and forms a giant L shape. I try to stay away from craigslist for selling anything. Half the time you get people trying to scam you or you get lowballers who think you have to sell your item to them at their buy price. I might buy off craigslist or from people on facebook but I sell to either members on here or on ebay. Just my cents on a matter of three.
