Ive been away from the escrap buying since last spring and want to catch up on what everyone else is paying nowadays as a reference.

.10/lb incomplete .15/lb complete (that is 3 times what scrap is going for).......As of now that is what I'm paying but hopefully will raise price soon as I see scrap going back up a little

depends on size.....anywhere from $2 to $10 usually....I'm figuring small socket p4 towers are worth anywhere from $5-$8 depending on alot of factors (How much you break them down)......Oh well I am open for biz and could possibly do a little better if you have a quantity or would trade usable dual core towers or whole systems for scrap

I think $5 would be fine if they are large socket or something newer that could be re-used.....

From scrapyards, I'm still buying at 0.20/lb for mixed loads. These are usually a couple tons at least, though.

Thankfully I get most of my computers for free, the boards are mostly small socket which IMO arent worth shipping since my yard will pay me $1.00 per lb for them.

I got one a couple days ago from a guy for $3.. He was tickled.. I opened it up to find (2) 1GB DDR2 Sticks and a 250 GB SATA hard drive.. yeah.. made my $ back as soon as I popped the 2 sticks of RAM.. didn't even care it was a pinless CPU with a metal socket..

I should be a very wealthy man, The reason I'm not is my life time of failure to adjust quick enough to market situations.
If my time here is worth any thing, please let that be the primary message.
Carefully study your craft, adjust to market shifts quickly. sometimes that means rolling the dice and being the trend not following the trend

Proper balance does not come easy. I Learned years ago that it was best that I didn't keep all my eggs and egg layers in one basket or coop.

Now I have been gathering up what I have and seeing how to fit it all together as it is a very interesting puzzle as I view it.

Information is the proper road to where a person is heading. Without good maps, proper tools and information a body can become lost or stuck in a rut.

Some say that I'm stuck in a rut as I have little interest in the fast paced society and it's stressed progress.

I have no good reason to be in much more of a rush then I already am. Slow and easy wins the race has always worked well for me and my dog.

But I do understand the being a day late and a dollar short. Been there many a time and still will as I just can't jump as high and run as fast, but I can still kick butt when required...

then lay about and recuperate for a spell and try and convince myself that I'm not 22 anymore,lol...

I don't know about advice from me because I do plan a little for the future but in this business of scrapping I have found that there is so much abundance I never really have to worry about money so I can spend it freely I mean if one area is dry for awhile I move to the next and even then I take scrapping vacations to travel and work for some fun cause going to yards and seeing them is fun and making the money to travel in a uhaul and fill it with scrap from another state is funny
