    Phone Cable

What is the best way to strip phone cable. It sucks because of the grease. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't strip it, I sell it as is.

    EDIT:

Okay. If you know it is stolen, but still want to scrap it, you are making a horrible and terrible error in judgment. It is inherently wrong. METAL THEFT IS HORRIBLE AND MAKES EVERYBODY WHO IS LEGIT SEEM UNTRUSTWORTHY.

If he stole it, then why did he throw it in the woods? The story isn't making sense. People steal wire to cash in.

Unfortunately, some people steal just to steal. That is what they know. Steal, look at what you stole, question why you stole it, throw it in the woods.

Ever hear the term - "Receiving stolen property"? You just publicly acknowledged that it was stolen.
People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

The kid stole it with a friend. They left it at the friends place and the friend got into trouble with cops. So the other kid walked through the woods at night to get it so that the kid would not get in trouble for having stolen property. On his way he had to drop one of the 5 that they stole. Because of that, I was able to get it.

It seems that you're just not "getting it". It doesn't matter WHO stole it or how you came to have it. The only thing that matters is that you HAVE IT. That makes you liable to being charged with "Receiving Stolen Goods" or similar. If you sell it or even TRY to sell it and they call the police and it is found in your possession, you're screwed.

If you know where it came from maybe give them a call and explain the circumstances...They may say keep it or who knows it could open some doors for you and you end up with more booty. Worse case they want it back but at least you don't have to worry about getting busted.

This is a very good opportunity for you to "practice" good business practices and also give yourself a good rep by being honest. Call them up and tell them you found their wire!

I shall be telling this with a sigh
    Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
