It is fantastic! I can now offer on site hard drive destruction to my clients. They are loving it as well.

just make sure to pull off the hard drive boards on the back before crushing, unlike the video LOL....those things are worth $10/lb or so.
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell
That looks pretty neat! It's basic enough that anybody good at welding could make one or make any part for it, looks portable, and should do the trick. What more could you want?
I agree on pulling the PCBs, though- do that and you'll do well. Especially since you can charge for data destruction in a lot of cases....

Squish! Any pecans or walnuts in the yard?
Nice!
Got mine about 8 months ago. About a couple months later the yard changed their pricing. The crushed drives were 33% less than the non-crushed. I bought a degausser and do it that way now. But this is only for the IDE and SCSI drives I cant wipe to DOD standards. My main use now is for customers requiring onsite physical destruction in their presence, as it is very portable. Easy to use and not really that hard to crush, just be sure to put some cardboard underneath to catch the occasional shards that come out...makes cleanup easier.
