Can anyone recommend a drive wiping program that is capable of exporting the drive serial number/info to a spreadsheet or word file? As we are starting to take on larger clients, we are being asked if we have this option. We currently have a degaussing option and a wiping option, but the program is very basic.

this is what I have been looking at after checking several others...I have not used it personally yet, so YMMV (do a bit of your own research). It did seem to do everything I would need it to do to issue COD's...and this is right from the features " Erasing report can be saved as a text file & exported in XML format ".
XML can be imported directly to excel. Looks like it also will create PDF COD's too...so you CAN email them.
Again, I did some pretty heavy research and I kept coming back to this. they have a pro version that is <$100, so does **** near everything and won't break the bank.

Secure Erase is the NIST approved standard. I've used Parted Magic, because it allows me to do other stuff with the drives (Mostly running SMART tests). For certificates, I'd go with WBSTS's recommendation.
