Yeah, it's a category. To stick with the example I posed, look down on the left sidebar. There is New with box, new without box, and new with defects:
Boots | eBay
For computer parts, there absolutely is a "New Other" category: core i7 in Computer Components and Parts | eBay It doesn't make sense to have a defects category on new computer parts.
I don't sell clothes a lot, but the last time I did (About a year ago), there was a "New Other" category there. Now, there are three "New" options.
More than Scrap Value Shipment Tips: http://www.scrapmetalforum.com/scrap...tml#post242349
to give you an idea of value and diffaculty selling, the most we have ever gotten for used equipment was $18oo for a never used 5 million dollar Sun M-9000 . you need to be an insider to get a fair price. just my experience.
"anyone who thinks scrappin is easy money ain't doin it right!"
This equipement was hard to sell and heavy to ship.. After 1 month Nobody want to buy
Basicaly,When they lunch the IBM Total Storage array 1722-60U the price was 65 000$ !
Scrapping time !!!
sometimes you can only sell the parts....ie hot swappower supplies, fan arrays, caddies etc. Far more practical than shipping something that could be 100+ pounds. Just a thought.
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell
RIP my StorageTek STK L40 Tape Library.. but nice board inside :P
I saw in a advert that somebody here (NZ) was 'wanting a 600watt + power supply' for a gaming computer".
Then yesterday I noticed that the power supply I got from a old server was a 950watt.
Would a old server power supply be usable in a home gaming computer?
There's obviously a whole different sort of power cable connectors, but is it viable?
Not really. The shape is different in the ones I've seen. The tower power supply has wire bundles with several connectors that plug into the computer mother board. The server power supplies I have seen are "slide" in with a connector located on the end of the power supply. Mike
