CPU GOLD Values

considering this is green fiber with heatsink (pinless from the looks of it) grade processor....it will only have an extremely small amount of gold. That grade sells for $3-4 a POUND, so even if the end processor was getting double that amount of gold, it is again very low. It takes about 18-20 of these from what I remember to make a pound, maybe a few less. That would mean (even at that inflated value) .40 worth for a single processor. I also know that probably is pretty high expectations and it would be somewhat lower.

Spot price is $1236 right now on gold....so my calculations say somewhere around .10-.14 grams on average (gets you 25-40 cents worth of gold). IE if not in large quantities of CPU's, not very much. The cost of the chemicals to get it out would be far more than the amount you got...again unless you are doing MASS quantities

PS you also mentioned laptop cpu...in my experience those are weigh WAY WAY less than regular ones...my weight estimate was the basic cpu you described...yours might actually have alot less gold based on actual weight.
