Angry Gold *VS* Copper Boards - Does Anyone Care ?!

Am I the only one who is having issues with buyers paying the same price for boards that have a copper base, and boards that have a gold base?

I check all of my boards by scraping off some of the green 'paint' to see what the base metal is made out of, and than sorting them accordingly. However most buyers don't seem to care ...

Random gold board I had laying around ...

I would say EBAY may be the best place to sell high yield boards

never had a single issue with the buyers I use on here...in fact, I have made more than I thought several times.
PROFIT is made when you BUY/ACQUIRE NOT when you sell

I would contact some of the buyers here at the SMF about your boards. Send them some pics and see what they say.

I have 2 five gallon buckets of small telecom boards that have gold plating under the green. I'm hanging on to them for now until I can find someone interested in them.

The circuit board in your pic above, what did that come out of?

That is from a Vtech email composer - specifically the controller card for the screen .

I have a video of me taking it apart, however it's not scheduled to be uploaded for a few weeks.

Is that the board that is under the lcd display?

Ok, I see the pic now.

The boards I have came from the displays of digital and IP phones I've scrapped. I see the same gold plating on mine that you see on yours.

They are pretty consistent with the LCD screen on a Gold plated board. I have a small box of them too.

I would expect they all get sorted together and they refine all of them together.
They have the IC chip under resin with Gold wires, and the Gold plated board.

I suppose if you had 40-50lbs + the buyer will have a separate category and price for them.
