Was given an apple powerbook 400mhz/1mb cache/64mb/6gb hd/8mb video/dvd yesterday

I was given this item yesterday and it works just fine, the hinges for the screen are a little loose but other than that there is absolutely nothing wrong with it the battery hold a charge and everything. do you guys suggest that I try and find a buyer for it as a whole since it works or would you take it apart it sell it piece-by-piece? I don't know how to wipe it and start new I don't have any recovery discs or anything like that as I've never really used Apple's except for when I was in school and man what I love to get one of those.

I would sell it as is for use/parts and detail it as much as possible, say $50starting bid plus shipping , with padding that should fit in one of the new large rectangle flat rate boxes for $20 , apple products are hotter than ever this year so I would start high as possible $50 is only a guess search ebay for last sales prices to help

I do not sell on ebay, and don't know where to even start.

Exactly what Travis said, you've got to find out if there's even a market for your item on ebay first then price accordingly. If you decide to go the ebay route you'll have to set up an account of course--not just an ebay account but a PayPal account also since that's how you'll get paid. In all honesty, since you'll just be setting up an account you may face an uphill battle because your rating will be 0 which makes it hard for people to trust buying anything from you. But, hey, you gotta start somewhere.

What is the model number? Is it silver (Powerbook G4 Titanium) or Black (Powerbook Lombard G3)?

$50 starting price from a 0 seller is wasting your time, $20 is more reasonable.

$20 is still better than what you would get breaking it down.
