So in my village big garbage day was the other day, and saw this on two riding lawn mowers. Think its worth anything!?

Thats a catalytic converter.
look inside if you can see straight thru it has been harvested already and you have shred feed,
if you can see a grid it's a cat,
depending on your local laws you may or may not be able to sell it,
expect $4 hope for $200

It's an air tube GM (catalytic converter). It's priced on our buy list at $52 (Medium GM). That's what we would pay as for a full catalytic converter-not empty.
Odd how they differ from the UK catalytic converters, as this looks like a volvo or mitsubishi one missing the heat shield. If it has a ceramic monolith inside I think it's probably going to be worth a fair bit more than $52. I'd be prepared to match that and pay for payment for UK shipment so we can assay it if it's any interest to you?
We could then show a true value for these so called air tube GM's.
If you take a look on the lip running around the edge you will see a part number engraved where the lip tapers off towards the exhaust pipe. If you can find that code I could probably give you an accurate price before sale!
If it is a GM cat it should have GM followed by 2 or 3 numbers engraved into the lip running around the edge, or it might have a code starting with 55. Whatever the result, try find that code and I will assist you in a bit of a more accurate pricing.
It's a GM converter. I have all the U.S. codes. Airtube GMs have 8 characters beginning with "25" or "89". I can buy by codes also.
The Platinum Group Loadings in United States catalytic converters are specific to the United States only. Cars in other countries have different loadings. I have enough business in the United States and North America to service customers here and not worry about loadings, customs, tariffs, seizures, theft, currency devaluations, etc.
