    Some of my CPU's

Here's a couple of photos of some of my CPU's. I'm getting ready to sell off much of my ewaste inventory, I need a new truck. I will not be selling the two Pent. Pro's or the "Double Horn" CPU.

I expect at about 1000 lbs total to ship this time. Hopefully this shipment will put a big dent in the down payment for my new truck. Enjoy the photos, 73, Mike

I live on the coast of NC and ship to one of the buyers here on the forum. I have actually sold to 3 different buyers from the forum and got treated well by all. So shipping ewaste is part of the business unless you live with in a short distance from a buyer.

Much has been written on the forum about dealing with the buyers, shipping and how to's. Do yourself a huge favor and do more reading of the old threads. You will find many of the buyers can arrange or a least advise you how to ship to them. There is a limit on how much weight you should put in one box when shipping with Fedex or UPS otherwise there is an up charge.

Many members ship using pallet loads and find the shipping costs are very low compared to shipping boxes via Fedes or UPS. So you are not unique many of us don't live next to a good buyer and still get paid well for our material. 73, Mike

I have three of these types of CPUs. I got them by chance, getting one brand new out of it's unopened box. The other two, I got out of other computers. What computers did/do you typically get these from? I don't get much at one time, but I do go looking at thrift stores and Goodwills and can find some good stuff. I just wanted to know so I can keep my eyes open for them. Thanks for the pics!

Well to answer your question as to which computers do I get these out of, of course it varies.

The earlier computers had what I would describe as eprom. Look up the intel 8088 which is a cpu. All the older computers have better quality as far as recycling of PM's are concerned.

There are some "rare" vintage computers that are worth reselling whole to collectors but don't count on it. I do check before scraping them. 73, Mike

That "Double Horn" is a Compaq Alphaserver Chip.. My favorites! (Actually I'm partial to the long rectangular ones) but any Alphaserver Chip is DA BOMB!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!
