Looks like one or two of those boards might qualify as pinboard. Send those pictures to Mario and ask him for a grade and price. Last time I had pinboard, I got around $3.80/lb for it.

If that is vintage "sound equipment" - at least look it up on Ebay before you destroy the unit !

I don't know what it is, but if it's vintage, it's very, very clean.
It almost looks homemade.

Some of those components look like Sprague originals. Even as pulls, they might be valuable, given how clean the unit appears.
Is it an Ali case? That's unique, if it's true. With a lightweight housing and thin, spare components, it was probably meant to be portable or inserted into another device or rack. It might not be a standalone, anyway. If it's homemade, it's probably a kit like Radio Shack used to sell, though why a cheap make like RS would be using Motorola transistors, when they had access to to their own brands, is a mystery to me.
It's not a radio or a receiver, obviously. I'm surprised to see pots on both sides of the device. What kind of jacks/ports does it have on the other side? Is that an XLR out in the upper left of the second picture? Are there any indicators as to what the pots on the front control or is it just dials in a metal faceplate? It probably falls under that vast grab-bag electronics category of "test equipment."
That is a puzzler.

It's a type of "blank" circuit board with a bunch of pins on it, for making your own circuitry. I thought I had a picture of one but I can't find it. As for why it's so valuable, that's a question for Mario to answer, I guess. I wasn't expecting that kind of price, I just brought it in to get rid of it.
Most pinboards (all I've seen) have that beautiful satin vs shiny AU plate. Which is of course, higher grade plating.
Those boards likely do have AG traces.

Does anyone have a picture of this pin board scrap? I've been looking around for days and I find nothing.
Au plated pins come extend perpendicular from the board. In use you will find wires wrapped around these individual pins and soldered to them. Think old school electronics.
Keep looking inside old electronics and you will likely find some eventually. Mike
