In the
Electronics Recycling Forums, at the bottom, there is a topic for Vintage Electronics. Though this really not a vintage system, things like it show up there, from time to time, I've noticed.
As to the receiver, there isn't much comparative sale data on it. Nearly everything I found for this specific model was coming out of Europe (makes sense, as JVC is a UK brand). But similar models are selling for about $100, brand new, in a few places. If it were me, I'd put it on Craigslist for about $75 (or less, if it's in very used condition) and see if that wasn't the fastest turnaround. Units like this are generally pretty hefty for shipping and without knowing if you could expect someone to kick down another $20-40 for the ship, after the sale price, I would be leery about
eBay.
Really, it's about 10 years old and doesn't have USB or HDMI I/O, which getting to be pretty standard for A/V equipment. I tear down one or two units like this per week (give or take) and the thrift stores are full of them. If you had an old Kenwood or Marantz, that would be a different story. But as long as you don't have to pay to get rid of it, it's probably an OK deal.
