What about a local scrap yard for them? I can not see shipping them from where I live.
They did pay me good for them and then got stuck with about 20 gaylords I had sold them and they took a loss.......From then on they just started selling me the computers whole......LOL
I'm actually lucky.
I can cut the wires, scrap the steel, and sell the boards for about .30/lb.
I make a small killing on them.. but I'm the only person on this board that I am aware of that has a buyer for Power Supply boards- local.
Wish all of you guys had access to such buyers!
My brethren out there need local P.S. board buyers!!
I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!
How much does it cost to ship per pound? If you can stack a pallet super high, it could work out for you. Fill a gaylord with power supplies, and then stack boxes on top. Just make sure it's secured TIGHT.
Even if you break even, it could decrease the cost of shipping for everything else...which would be a gain.

My shipping cost is not that bad........I live in a good shipping lane (I think).........Knoxville gets alot of traffic thru here as far as truckers and accessible to all major highways.........There is even the terminal I use for freight less than 10 miles from my house and the terminal is less than a mile from freeway.......I think I am just frustrated with them......I see value in them but whatever.........Probably will just box them up and get rid of them
If you talk to a large yard that shreds their breakage, you could maybe get them interested. I used to sell them to Sims here for around 0.15 without wire. You need to talk to someone other than a scale person.
I have a love/hate relationship with power supplies too............wait just a hate relationship lol. I tear them down, but I don't like it
I am not a fan of them either. I break them down, usually ending up taking some of the al heatsinks and other stuff off and then throwing them in with the low grade boards.
Glad to see I'm not the only one frustrated
I do well on power supplies. Where are you located . Around 600 700 a gaylord .
I got 20 cents a pound for them last load I took (with wire attached) ... not setting the world on fire at that rate, but not trash either.

I got $0.21/ lb. last week for mine and that is with a 2 hour drive. Locally all I can get is shred price and of course I would cut the wires off. Shred is about $0.04. I made the 2 hr trip for the power supplies and because I could get more for other material. This place paid $1.05 lb for Cu/Al heat sinks which are a hard sell here local to me. The one I sold to is a Wise Recycling yard. 73, Mike

Now go beat the copper out of something, Miked
4.5 gaylords going out tommorow as part of a large load.
Nice! Mike
Wise Recycling. The yard in Pensacola is run by snag tooth hobos.
