    computer gold

    the cord ends on computers are they gold plated ? the sure look like it. I have a 5 gal bucket full.

    Yes they are gold plated. Thing is tho there is rubber all around it that you can not burn. I will buy the cord ends as long as you cut as much of the copper wire off as you can (take off as much weight on the ends than you can with out working to hard....dont leave no long tail on them! ) I will pay you around 1.60 or so a pound.

    what ends on what cords? my first guess is the power supply cord ends that go into the computer from the wall? if so, i've got boxes of those cords i could work on submit a pic of what you are meaning and it will be helpful too. thanks!

    Those are brass only, there is some rca cables in there that have gold plating on them, other than that, I don't know.

    Normally it is things like VGA cords, older printer cords and USB cords that have the gold in them. I am sure there are others but those are the ones that I see most often.

    i know there are some gold plated pins on the circuit boards. i got like one of those small bag half way full of gold plated pins. i was hopin so bad they were gold but i took it to a guy that worked with cash 4 gold and he told me they were only gold plated. he did some kinda test on em to find out unfortuantly i cant remember exactly what he did. im sure you could find it on the internet.

    btw cash 4 gold is the biggest rip off in the industry, especially cash 4 electronics I think they payout something like $1.50 a pound for memory, and phones....

    Cash for gold had some state attorney generals on their backside for the way their treating their customers, their affiliate is like you said, cash for electronics.
