Posting Pictures with SMF's Attachment feature

I know there are other third party hosting sites but what I’m interested in is the SMF’s Attachment option available when you click on the Go Advanced button.

I have figured out how to attach pics but I don’t know how to post multiple pics with a description between each one.

I would like it to look something like this…

Hey guys. I found a cool board today and it has a lot of IC chips on this side….

    Example pic 1

And a lot of gold on the other side.

    Example pic 2

Have you tried making the post and then rearranging through the html source option?

I used the attachment feature but once you upload the pics they stay and once you hit your limit you cant delete the used ones to upload new ones. Does anybody know how to delete existing pics from the add files memory

    Thanks.
It's at the top left of the text box there. The default setting is all the way to the left. It has two "A"s. The source setting is the next button over, with the same two "A"s Xed over. Haven't used it for what you intend but have for other posts.

Top right next to the Log Out tab; Settings

On the left side, Last panel, all the way on the bottom; Miscellaneous/Attachments

I believe this is where you can see all your pics and attachments. delete button is below each on the right

You can see a thumbnail and the size of each file too.

I haven't used this feature but its there. hope this helps

Well so far I've uploaded about 60 pics and that's close to 50 meg of pics. I'm not sure what the limit is but I'm trying to fix my ewaste thread since the photobucket thing. I guess I'll find out.

Looks like t00nces2 has it figured out. When are you going to have a class to teach the rest of us.

I uploaded the pics I wanted to the attachment area.
I went and clickeded the advanced button and clicked the "manage Attachments" button... sipped my beer
I checked the pictures I wanted to add. It placed them as three attachments one after the other.... finished beer.
I changed the font to the font I like to use and clicked the curser in between the attachments and the font parameters and typed in what I wanted to say. enter enter to space the way I wanted and clicked where I wanted the next text to go.... got a new beer.
opened beer. enter enter. add the text I wanted... sipped beer...
hit "preview post" while sipping beer... went to fridge to lower temperature setting. Hit "submit reply".... Celebrated by taking a swig of beer.

I woke up this morning and my pics were gone. I might try it again this afternoon......only with beer!

That seems to be a key ingredient in t00nces2 tutorial.

When you get to the manage files section the section all the way to the left that says home you need to add a folder. Cause once ive reached my limit it wont let me delete the pics i already have to make room for new ones. I went to where faceball suggested but theres no way to delete photos from the home page. If anybody in admin or whoever knows please let me know

    it says 7.41 MB
    of 7.42MB used...
    thats the problem

has everybody been given so little space?
im seeing members here saying they have uploaded more than 50Mb of pics

i dont know if it bcos theyre paid members & im not.
if thats the case, it doesnt make sense for me to pay bcos almost everyone is in the US & theres no real business contacts i can make from them while im here in SA.
    cant see it happening.

Offsite image hosting is probably a better option unless ya' are only using small thumbnails.
PostImage is the site I use.

I just checked the pictures I've uploaded and I have about 205 pics uploaded ranging between 1/2meg to 1.5meg. Having a paid membership may be the reason or it could be something as silly as reputation points or a combination of the two. Who knows.
I've opened several support tickets in the past to find out what the upload limit was but we all know how that went.
There are still some sites out there that offer free 3rd party hosting so find one and git a gitten.
I've always wanted to see you post pics.
