    AB Variable Frequency Drives

I work in industrial maintenance and have access to a lot of industrial scrap metals and electronics. I’m new to scrapping electronics specifically. I’ve been collecting a lot of industrial electronics, but I’m specifically curious about Variable Frequency Drives. We use Allen Bradley and I get my hands on a lot of used power flex VFDs. The ones I keep are ones that I can’t fix and aren’t worth sending to get repaired. I’m curious if anybody else has experience scrapping these, thank you!

You can find a little info in older threads about these but the short answer is they're for sure worth the time. Some have a good amount of copper, some - especially ones from a couple decades ago - have some very high grade boards.
