I scrap several computers a week and have always been curious but never asked. The warning lable on the drives warn about radiation exposure. Is there any real danger if it is not powered up? Also,is there any scrap or resale value to them?

PM Easyrecycle he has a website and I believe he pays around .13 a lb for drives.. not sure tho.

Cd/floppy Drives = $0.15 a pound.
Computer memory = $12 a pound
Gold cord ends = $1.50 a pound
Lithium-Ion = $0.85 a pound
Nickel batteries = $0.43 a pound
Computer fans = $0.13 a pound
laptops (non working) = $5.00 each
LCD screens = At this time we are not buying due to the market.
Power supply's = $0.30 a pound
