Alas, I know nothing about these. Easy? any ideas? Laptops are a pain to break down. Maybe they have a resale value?
I will buy laptops whole laptops in a large lots like this at $5.00 each for a whole system.
If you know how many there are..I can work alittle better on pricing.
I may even be able to make a run out that way and pick them up my self....will need a good bit of info on this tho.
hell I cant even get a desk top here for $5. these idiots have gold veaver just like the 49ers. and just like them most will go broke in a short while, these idiots arround here are paying $20 or better for dead soldures and buying them 3 or 400 hundred at a time. one bid I saw was $8000 + for 389 desk tops canabalised and parts missing. OR is there something Im missing.
Some people are rebuilding them to sell to 3rd world countries as a working system. An others...just as you said...over bid.
Oh geez, i was sitting here trying to figure out what a power book was and how come I never came across any and you're talking about laptops. *Facepalm* I was picturing a talking book in my head or something along those lines!

don't mind mdg, attitude. He'll be ok after a good night's sleep.
If you are willing to deal with eBay you will get top dollar for those Mac laptops. I usually get 50-75.00 each for them broken when I sell them on there. Functional ones sell for even more. Lots of people need parts to repair their own computers and unlike standard pc laptops the parts are only available from Apple at ridiculous prices. Apple tries to control distributions of parts to only its Mac stores and its few authorized repair shops.
