$305.00 seems high for nine laptops in poor condition some without batteries and power supplies. At first glance It looked like 475 laptops but it is only nine.
Lot of 9 Gateway Laptops 475
Licensed for Windows XP but NOT Included; No operating system. Laptops are being sold in unknown condition.
yes it's only 9 model 475 gateway laptops
only 9. sorry george.
And the other is 22. Over $400. Neither are a steal.
Sorry guy, must have miss read the description. They are flipping crazy. Only way I would pay that much, if they came fully operable. I would just slap better memory in them, update the drivers and software and sell them individually, but in those conditions, and for less than 100, I don't think so.
You can take a working p4 system. Slap in 1gb of memory, a 80gb hard drive and windows xp and sell it for around $180.
The two 512 ram sticks would cost around $10 each.
The power supply would cost around $12 each
80gb hard drive you can get for $14 to $16
So 9 laptops for $300 would come out to $33.33 add $36 for parts for a total of $69 per laptop that you can now sell for around $150 ($81 profit for each system x 9 = $729)
P.s this is a Processor Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz computer system...it can sell for around $240 here in Dallas any day of the week.
If you sell them for $150 they will fly out the door the same day. You will have shops that will buy them all and turn around and sell them for the $240 or more for each one.
The computers are not all that old an so are worth a good bit of money. Even if you don't sell them whole as a working system you can part them out like crazy but will take more time.
With over a week left I'm guessing these things are going to hit stupid money by the time the hammer drops sucking all potential profit out of them.

My brother has bought lots of laptops, fixed them and sold them. Here's some things he's ran into...
Research the laptop and see if they use SATA or IDE hard drives. Laptop IDE hard drives are more expensive and may take away a lot of the profit. Also, some of the new smaller laptops come with an even smaller hard drive with costs even more. Also, some of them will have passwords on the BIOS. This can be a pain (dealing with Dell) because you need to typically contact the manufacturer, give them the serial number and they can get you a 'master' password for that specific laptop. Before you can do that, though, you need to 'transfer ownership' of that laptop into your name, which can take a few days. These are just a few of the issues he's ran into with Dell laptops...
He's been selling single core p4's for $150 and dual cores for $250. He has found a few computer shops that sell them on consignment for him and also sells them on Ebay. One thing about Ebay and Paypal... If you sell mostly electronics, they will, at the most unfortunate time, put a 30 day freeze on getting money out of your paypal account since electronics have the highest rate of fraudulent items on Ebay. They won't give you any notice, they will just send you a message stating they are putting a 30 day freeze on your money.
I rarely even bother to look at auctions any more. the un realist reality shows have ruined the auctions, 5 years ago I bought 4 gaylord boxes of computers and all the perifials from Egland AFB for $50 now these idiots drove the price up to $50 a computer.
Personally i wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole! Its no deal, a real deal is something that i know for a fact that i can double my money when reselling.

It must be a regional thing because around here I look to get 50-100 for a laptop of that configuration. Anyone can buy a brand new dual core Dell at Walmart for under 300 which drives the value down like crazy. That configuration in a desktop around here brings 75-150.
