I recently had an oscilloscope and a vectorscope that I scrapped, they were from 1967 and the boards were high grade. Cable boxes and modems come to mind also.

Yes, especially the ones with DVR. I believe they are mid-high grade boards.

Surveillance camera I tore apart had small high grades in it. Cable boxes appear high grade.

Some tvs (lcd and ect..not old style), hand held items (games), printers, xbox pr ps2/ps3, some clocks, cars/trucks

rule of thumb...if it has a power button and has alot of buttons to do many things...most likely there is a high grade board.

Car stereo amplifiers have what looks like a high grade board and usually a bunch of gold plated terminals.

I just tore down a small Dell flat screen monitor and found a mix of boards. There was a hidden high grade behind a stainless cover. Most of the base was cast aluminum too.

DVR ones have a hard drive or 2 in them too.

    And Dish network boxes.
Also anything else that has a memory of some sort should have a hi grade. Also floppy and CD Rom drives but the floppy's are harder to remove.

A friend and I tore apart a TV from the 50s awhile ago and there were boards with gold fingers on them. Cell phone boards are high-grade too. It also depends on what your buyer considers high-grade

Wow I would have paid you good for those. They would look great on my mantel . I am interested in all older vacuum tube equipment . Not for scrap .....

    yep,,
But the cd/dvd boards are pretty easy to remove, but figuring time to money it's better to leave the floppy's intact and sell to someone like Easy or Escrap or a couple of the others, They pay by the pound that way. The cd/dvd boards come out real easy so it's worthwhile to remove, then the rest can go shred if you want. Me, I remove the motors then the rest goes in the steel pile.

Floppy drives in most case are not high grade. If you look they are green on one side and brown on the other and are low grade board. The ones where the IDE cable connector end is easily exposed just break those off and put them in with the gold connector ends.

    How about this board?

It's encased in a rubbery type substance that isn't coming out very easily. Case is aluminum.

I wold say break out the gold connector at the top and throw that in your AL breakage. I dont think it would be worth the time to get that thing out of there.
