I really need to clean out my shed so I have a place to breakdown my computer scrap...wife would throw me out if I brought roaches into the house. I'm already treated as a second-class citizen as it is!

Another good dusting material is Borax, "Boric acid". I am an organic gardener from before it was popular.

Borax is a mediocre dusting agent but really good when put in food bait for things like ants and roaches. Super cheap, easy and effective ant poison: Take 2 parts melted butter, 1 part sugar and 1 part borax (yup, the laundry soap) and mix together and pour into the little soda bottle caps. The stuff will congeal and the ants usually love it. They share the poison amongst themselves and it tears up their insides and they basically die from dehydration and infections. You can leave it out as long as you need to and it is basically harmless to pets and people.

Artificial maple syrup with a little borax mixed in works even better but you have to make up new batches every couple days since it hardens quickly.

So it saves my time and just the trips back and forth between homedepot and applying the posion are worth the $40.

Not to mention they use special equipment to keep my pets safe. Cant get that from a spray bottle.

Just a FYI on the commercial grade rodent bait and traps....It will be ineffective! In fact what you or they are really doing is putting out food for the rodents. Yes it might kill them, but at days end you cannot kill them all. To me, those exterior mouse traps are the ultimate con job. The exterminator can point to a dead rodent and say ":see, it's working" "let's put out more bait" Then next week the same result and so on...wash, rinse, repeat..............lol

I believe you can buy it in NYS but also believe that the pool filter grade is the wrong grade DE for bedbugs.

Speaking of borax, gets rid of ants in a big way! Take an old cottage cheese or margerine container w/lid, poke some holes in the sides mix 1/2 teaspoon borax with 1 cup jelly, set out wherever the ants are bugging you. As long as ants are using it, they will be dying back in the nest, then about a week later...........they are not to be seen. Save this tip for the summer, lol.............IT WORKS!!!!!!!!

No you would only have to dust the bed. Dio Earth is so fine it cuts into them and drys them out. also great for growing bonsai trees. i got some posion i use to spray for bugs, all i know is it was banned 20 years ago for being to strong, i have to wear a full body condom taped up and my scuba gear hooked up to my pony tank for diving. it doesnt have a label anymore else id let you know. Ive taken down infested houses i move into in less then a week and never had a problem since. only problem i got is cleaning my sprayer out, ill forget and it breaks. still trying to find a good metal tank in the trash one day. just my 2 cents
