Escrap refiners assayers

Has anyone ever heard of or dealt with richard pickle of geo-tech analytical located in oregon. Ive looked at some of his videos on youtube, went to his website,and read some his postings on the gold refining forum. It seems He has a chemical refining,analyzing setup to extract the gold and other precious metals from the scrap materials or ore you send to him. He charges a $75 fire assay fee,and 50% of all the pm content he can extract. If he can get 2oz of gold,silver,palladium,ect.. out 1oz he keeps ,1oz is yours. Might be a good deal if you want to go this route. What do some of you guys,gals think of this. Has anyone here have any experience dealing with a small scale company that will extract the metals for you and then send you a check for it.

processing fees and metal paid on vary. european refiners pay more for more metals than u.s. processors, but their minimums are higher.

standard processing fees are $1 to $1.85/lb + 3 to 5% of metal recovered. most processors will pay out on gold, silver, palladium and platinum. a few will pay out on the copper.

the biggest problem is getting an accurate assay on the materials.

the real question is if you are willing to accept half of the value of your material.

i would be cautious dealing with members of the gold refining forum concerning circuit board scrap. they may be the best refiners. but processing low grade ewaste is an entirely different field.

kinda high on the processing fee, tho. you don't mention what metals you are paying on.

in the u.s. i currently am at $1/lb + 3% for gold, silver, palladium and platinum. copper is spot - $.30. 750 lb minimum lot.

if you can beat that and maintain the current recovery rate, i will send you my boards.

3rd party assay is meaningless. unless you personally follow the processing and take your own sample. and even then, you have to trust the assayer.

you either trust the processor you are using or you don't. it really is a black and white scenario.

processors do not pay for shipping.

To go this route it seems best to strip the boards,components down of its valuables(ic's,monoliithic caps,gold pins,fingers,processors, ect..)as much as possible to cut down on weight ,to make it more profitible. Time consuming though.

That makes them less valuable. As then your assa comes back even lower.

M688....for most of my life the editor of our county paper was Tige Pickle. He wrote funny editorial and also did the local news on the radio every day. He's dead now..don't think he had children, but the name Pickle is not unusual here. Tige might be...he's the only one I ever heard of ..just short for tiger I guess. He was a go-getter.

I have been a member of Goldrefiningforum.com since 2007 the year it started and I have never heard of this person and or his company;;;;;..

That being said there is another Gold refining forum.org that has a lot of misleading info on recovery and on REFINING Gold ;;

is that the same goldrefiningforum that thinks $5/lb and a 50% split for processing boards is a good deal for the client? the same ones that think we just throw the boards in the fire and hope we recover something?

sry off topic but interesting. I raced **** trickle many many times back in the day. he raced with the big boys as an independent untill just as couple of years ago, well into his 60s no one knew how old he actually was, but I know he was atleast my age and probably older.

richard36 is his user name on the gold refining forum. i might not sell to him though . im pretty sure someone in my area knows how to break this stuff down. i would like to watch the process in person. i'm still partial to ship some of my boards whole,for a good price.

I just started saving up boards, mostly low grade stuff out of t.v.s and such, not too many out of computers, but working on it. I'm interested in selling them for pm recovery, I've been doing some research into it, and any info would be greatly appreciated. Reading through the forums right now, but gettin blurry eyed.
