Question: How much money do you get out of various towers?

Hi - Just looking for a ballpark figure here. Counting the CPU, motherboard, other boards, drives, fingers, connectors, etc. How much do you get in scrap value $ for say a 386/486, various pentiums? I'm wondering about the scrap value - how much you are paid by some of the buyers rather than what you can get for parts on ebay, etc. Just a ballpark idea is fine. Thanks.

    Mike

Quick answer is the average tower gives you $12 to $16 in scrap value. That is if you break it down and sell its parts for scrap. However when your talking older machines please dont scrap out the 5.25 drives for scrap. they sell for $20 all day long on ebay.

Great - That's all I was asking for. Thanks for your courteous reply - Saves a lot of searching around as others have suggested I do.
