The scrap yard I deal with only pays shred price for all computers and computer parts and from what I can tell is very sloppy with parting them. Being ambitious, I had someone I knew introduce me to the owner and approached him with the idea of buying all computer products off him. He was thrilled with the idea and said he would start sitting them aside for me and call me when he has a large supply.
That’s the good news. The bad news is I’m a freaking rookie at this! I’m digesting as much material as I can, trying to come up with a good price system that is easy and profitable. He said I could pick through what I want, which is a good thing because I plan on leaving him with all the cases (where possible, and when they are not valuable). I have a lot more research to do but I was wondering what this forum thought about the idea of offering him one price per pound for everything? Boards, H-Drives, CD-Roms, Etc.
I think he really wants someone to strip them for him so that he doesn’t have to pay his guys to part them out.
Anyway, just another rookie asking advice!
