    Handheld Laser Barcode Scanners

Has anyone done anything with these in the past? I have a box of 10-15 I picked up with a BUNCH of old CRT Magnavox Terminals.

Don't want to sell them for $0.05 a # but they don't seem to sell on E-bay either?!?!

They look like they're sell on Ebay to me. Can you post a pic, I might be interested in buying one myself. I'm putting together a POS system for my store.

Thanks for the link. I'll try to get a pic posted tomorrow. Make me a reasonable offer for one, and I'll send you 2 just in case one doesn't work.

    Serial or PS2 port?

    thortek,
We're interested in buying. If they work
We sell on Amazon and these are some of the "special toys" we're wanting. Using cell phone apps gets old.
    Thanks!

Mine came from a Closing Company. Only a few are marked Broken, the rest are untested, but I have a desktop pc that I can probably see if they fire up. The kind I have are like these With a variety of cors. Old AT style connectors, Serial connectors, and PS2 style connectors.

I'll post actual pics up tonight.

I have 7 of these that work perfect, and one that works, but the laser never shuts off. You guys inspired me to test them all. I changed out the cords with a couple of extras so they ALL have a ps2 keyboard cable. And the cable has a pass through in case you need to plug in a keyboard.

I'm really learning a bunch from you guys! Since the link I saw on ebay was selling these for $20-25, I'll offer the 7 working ones for $10 each, and the one that doesn't shut off for $5. Plus shipping. Actual shipping cost based on weight. PM me and I'll send you my Paypal link.

I'm glad you guys suggested I test these out. I had to pull out an old laptop with a keyboard port, but I'm sure there are usb adapters.

I just had a guy drop off a large load of computer cables, RAM and such. He also had one of these scanners. It said Wal-mart right on it. I told him I didn't want it.

Luckily I picked these up from the company, with the company property tags still on several of them. They had them attached to these Crazy Magnovox terminals.

I have a bunch of usb barcode scanners. I sell them to computer repair shops. They like them because they can scan barcode on the hard drive they sell. eliminating people returning used drives that they didn't sell them.
I also have touch screen monitors, great for games.
