    AS 400 mainframes

    Greetings men,
    I have a line on some AS 400s. I know they have some good stuff but I don't know how much to offer. Anyone have some experience with that?

    Dealt with dozens of these... will depend on specs and whether or not anything was pulled. Most guys removing the AS400 are pulling anything worth value.

    I have a few to go through as well. I'm sure the drives and other stuff are gone, but i know boards are still in there. Worth anything?

    The one i parted was massive. About 150 pounds. They had two large 10 pounds hard drives. Pull the tape drive, they sell very well on eBay. I paid $40 for the one I parted out. I easily trippled my money after parting to resell and scrap.
