I have helped a friend of mine a few times. He works for a huge corporation that deal solely in corporate clients. The few times I have helped him, we have picked up PALLETS of pc's. monitors, keyboards, and other misc things.
He has a portable laptop and scan gun, and has to scan each item into inventory. From there, he provides the client with everything he has picked up.
From there, he transports them to a local satellite warehouse (I believe it is called onesource), and then the corporate office sends a truck to the warehouse to pick up what he dropped off. Then it gets sent to another facility for whatever they do with it.
Grand this is a BIG operation.
If you are going to charge companies to pick up their items, I would charge for data destruction and provide them with a C.O.D certificate upon completion.
You can also charge them for the processing of the monitors too if you like. There is a few members here (sorry, can't remember screen names), that charge a certain amount per monitor, because they have to pay to get rid of them, themselves.
