    Nice Little Pick Up

Got a call from Red Cross to come pick up some towers. Came away with 4 towers and a server. Also took there CRT monitors they had because I am nice..(any where to take those?) Also gave me 10 old school cell phones still in the box. I havent dressed them down yet but do the Old funky Little Compaq towers have any value in them?

Yes you did good. Cell phones can be sold without batteries. The towers and server might be possible to be sold as is but more likely scrapped. Check out our members who buy ewaste in the buyers and sellers section. Read more of the electronics recycling section, read all the old posts. Check out this link it will help you a lot, Mike.

For scrap value they have the same value as most of the others do. If you would have read the many posts by different people you would have found the total value. Sorry,,,

If the phones are still new in box then send them to relectrocycle in the buyers section. they buy working phones for more than scrap value.

When I say old I mean old, kinda look like a house cordless phone. I know what the scrap value is just knowing each part, just was asking if these have any special processors since I was on the road. No biggie they are just green pentium 3.

    Check ebay first!

Always check ebay for value on vintage electronics before scrapping them. Search for "brick cell phone" and go to completed listings. You may be amazed!
I almost made a huge mistake with some old keyboards. As it turns out, one of them was a rare IBM model "M" space saver "clicky" keyboard...sold it for $149 plus $29 shipping. Crazy thing is, a few months later I saw a couple of them go for over $225!
