Gloves For E-waste

I've been going through gloves like crazy. Each pair rips at the thumb and fingers. I want something rugged like the ones I use for landscaping but not as thick. ANy suggestions?

If there is a Mark's Work Wearhouse near you , they have a good selection of gloves.. The rubber palms and fingers are good. Home Depot is anther choice. Each one is individual. Don't know what they carry near you.

my last pair of batting gloves lasted 4 months before i ripped the thumb out.

I don't use gloves.....Funny thing is Out of all the monitors and computers I have done I cut myself the other day on a freakin plastic water cooler which I was tearing down for compressor....I save alot of money not buying gloves day after day

I get the free gloves from harbor freight, they are ok but get used up somewhat quick, they got multi-packs for cheap also. I also use the vinyl gloves that come in a box for 5 bucks from there, use the 20% off coupon on them.

u get a 1/2 inch gold pin to go through your finger yet parrothead? yeah i wasnt wearing gloves that day, 1 tool slip and you can get some wicked puncture wounds.

Haven't got a pin in my finger yet, but just holding the board with the jagged solder joints on the back is hell on my hands.

Haven't found a set of gloves I like for doing e-scrap. I've tried pliers but the board breaks too easy. Maybe these would help.

But I don't deal in escrap yet the reason I say yet is I like to know what I am dealing with before I venture in to a field I am Dumb in.

I'm a big fan of mechanix gloves as well. Every few months a hardware store near me will have a 50% sale on them, I grab a couple pairs each time.

My boyfriend keeps nagging me about wearing gloves but i still only wear them about 15% of the time- when i am moving a bunch of stuff or when he takes away my tools until i put them on. I use his batting gloves and they work awesome. I am considering using normal latex gloves while i dismantle this printer though i seem to be getting ink everywhere. I had a nice dark smudge across my forehead yesterday when i looked in the mirror. I was doing this at work so it's a good thing that no people came into the showroom. That would've been embarassing.

If you don't blead once a day you not doing any work. just my .02

I found a gaylord full of left handed batting gloves for .10 ea at a sporting goods store. I bought five.. It was long before I started scrapping, but I still have 3 of them and I've been through a gizillion other gloves. If I'd known then what I know now, I would have bought the whole gaylord full.

yeah Dee for e-scrap they are pretty great. need to get another pair, was out in the shop last night stripping some UPS cable and caught my thumb with the razor knife. motivation at its greatest element to do something.
