From what I'm seeing you've got a decent payday there, now to just find you a buyer that you are comfortable with.

Cool! Can you post a link to the album Julie? My old slow connection won't never load this page with all the photos at once, maybe from the album could open em one at a time. I'd kinda like to see all the goodies you found

well, so far i've been able to see two of them, that second motherboard photo, what is that board in the lower left? I can't quite figure that one out (looks like it has some chips on it? ). Do you have a point and shoot camera with an optical zoom? It doesn't matter how much zoom, just a 3x is better than none, as long as it has some optical zoom, your photos will have much greater clarity (megapixels aren't nearly as important as basic optics ; )

That third photo you have some old ISA networking boards I believe, the long ones on the left, do those have like 5 ethernet connectors on each one? Those should be a better grade too, in my thinking, than regular pci finger cards, but i guess you'll just have to leave that them to decide how to treat ya on that one. You must have gotten ahold of an old office server there or something

I'm following this in the order you started with, photobucket kinda reverses them, so i started at the bottom

    Cool job Julie!

Great job Julie! Looks to me like a decent payday coming to you. The real value is all the knowledge you have gained that you didn't have when you started the fun. And don't worry about that blood, it adds a little weight too

    Good Job!

Congratulations Julie. Now start boxing that stuff up and get it shipped. I'm sure you've analyzed our buyers by now. They all come highly recommended !

Very good work!. We are all glad to have been here for you.

I would also like to take the chance to thank the rest of the forum. We could have just pounced on Julie and told her to read, read, read. But we recognised that she was in an immediate need of assistance for some kids and not for herself.

    You guys all did good.

Just 1 more thing. On the pci cards you have the heat sinks still attached. Use a flat head screw driver to pry and twist it from the thermal paste. they pop right off. other then that looks like you did very well.

I wondered about that too, Dune, but they also removed the steel plates off the ends, when most places say don't bother. I wonder if they wouldn't take it as an equal trade ( or maybe better since they're getting aluminum for steel )

Those extra pieces left on the batch of 75 pounds of cards came up with 8 lbs of heat sinks and 4 pounds of steel. or something around there all i know there was 12 pounds of waste material. And i rather make my buyers life more easy to have a better relationship with them. Some times down the line you might have to ask for a little better price and having a good reputation with them will pave that rocky road all the better.
