" ONE-THOUSAND " Old out of date Motorola Pagers

Purchased about 1,000 used motorola pagers today, all assorted. All are powered with AA batteries. Now just wondering WTH im going to do with them all. Is there any value besides scrap value? Im new to e-waste game and any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Im having problems again posting pics, but im working on it.

Pull up the model number(s) on Google and ebay to see if there is a market for them as is.

Can't imagine anyone still using pagers but who knows.

Idaho, actually some people do use pagers. Guy I got to school with is a volunteer fire fighter and he has one. Went off in the shop one time when I was working with him

I have processed a few hundred of these.

Some of them have some really sweet gold contacts and antennas inside, and all of them have boards. Some of the boards have lots of gold contacts.

If you scrap them, trick is to just get through them fast. The isn't much in one pager, so just get it out and recycle the case. I was doing about 100 in 2 hours.

I sold the boards on eBay for gold recovery and ended up always doing better than $5/lb on them. The gold plated springs and antennas and stuff, I still have. They look like ideal material to feed a reverse-plating cell.....

I have been searching my models for the last day now and can not find any info.

what about the companies web site Big Tex? have you searched for the model numbers on it, or thought about emailing them for info on how old they are, etc?
