    I think I'm going to need a bigger Boat...Er I mean Truck!

So I took the old man with me today. We picked up 6 Gaylords from Habitat, and 1 more from the Thrift Store.

I had to upgrade to the big shop to handle this kind of volume. The big shop belongs to the Old Man, from when he had his trucking company. I'll post pictures when I break everything out of the boxes, but here's the teaser to wet your appetite.

I was disappointed that we could only get 3 gaylords on the car hauler at once. So we just made 2 trips. We ended up using a hand crank "fork lift" the old man had a the shop, but it wasn't set up for pallets really, so we had to prop the pallets up, move the "forklift" out of the way then knock the pallet to the ground and use the pallet jack the rest of the way.

    here's some pics!

    from load 1

    after load 2

The trailer. Good little trailer, I've moved more cars, and Bar equipment with that trailer! She got new lights last night, and I took the ramps off for this load.

It's really nice. I'm out there more than the old man is. I've built (And un-built) several cars in that very spot. The last car there was my 02 Mustang last spring, bought it wrecked and rebuilt it.

I'm the kid that does the most for the old man, so I'm the only one with a set of keys. We've all had a car stashed there before though. My step brother has a Belvedere parked there right now.

I think i'm going to keep my eyes open for a cheap bobcat...I think If I buy it and leave it at the shop, I can justify using the big shop more often!

Congrats on the score. My garage looks like that too with all of the gaylords full of stuff.

You have piqued my interest with the Belvedere. What year? I just sold my '58...and I miss it.

Another nice aspect is that you now have some free gaylord boxes to ship large quantities in. Use one to fill with motherboards and like material.

. I'm going to have to turnover my material faster than I can fill a Gaylord. I had o buy this ( at a great price granted) and I'm touchy about leaving an investment lingering.

I Found a couple of treasures last night breaking stuff down. I have a Ceramic p1!! I have a AMD 486 OVERDRIVE unit!

Very exciting! I showed my old man the 486, and explained that it's worth nearly $25-30...he about passed out!

Picked up 8 gaylords of material from HH yesterday. I also got a big copier. I'm going to see if I can sell that one retail!

This load is a jumbled up mess! Each box has4-5 crts in it, and then other CRAP just tossed in. When i told them i wasn't too worried about sorting, I didn't anticipate they were going to load boxes with Trash..sheesh.

On the UP SIDE..I have a deal where I will buy their scrap wiring at $0.50 a pound. I picked up 350#'s of VERY nice insulated wire. I'm hoping I can get over $1 a pound for it insulated. I'm going to run by the yard on Saturday and see what they offer.

I got a question for ya thortek.....how are you loading and unloading the gaylords on the pallets, on and off the trailer? I am curious to know......I saw above your using some type of hand crank lift or wasn't that working out?

    Thanks.
