    If they are the ones with lond leads and a hole at one end, they are power transistors. Not really ICs and not sure about the PM content.

    They are mostly copper base metal. Most of them have a tin coating that can be removed by soaking in HCL. You should be able to incinerate them to remove the black part thus increasing the copper price paid by scrap yard. You will find some that are gold plated also.
    We buy electronic scrap, Gold Karat scrap, gold filled, refined gold, silver and many other item's.
