Questions for Ewasted or others, whale update

So, as many of you read, I picked up over 100 computers and other equipment, and I'm still getting more. I have figured out which computers are scrap and which have resale value. I have a few questions. Since Ewasted is in Ohio and only 3 hours away, I plan to drive me load out. (for the record)

Floppy drives, worth anything as a whole? (Since shipping weight isn't a problem and I wouldn't lose profit leaving them whole.) Or should I break the gold plate off and the rest is breakage at my yard (.19/lb)?

Flat screens, are these worth anything more than shred? I have heard that they are.

Power adapters with the cables, price per lb?

Power supplies from computers are .45/lb, correct? The ones I'm pulling from these servers are easily 5-10 lbs a piece, are they still graded the same way?

Computer fans can be sold for .29/lb at my yard, are the worth more than that as escrap?

Laptop docking stations - outdated and have no resale value. Are these bought as whole or do I need to remove the 'motherboard' from inside.

Desk phones, worth anything as a whole?

    Thank you
Yeah that's great and all...but...CAN I SCRAP IT!?

if you are only going to send to him then my guess is you need to talk that out with him as the other buyers as my self can tell you this and that...does not mean ewasted follows the same as other ewaste buyers.

True. Well, there aren't any obvious closer buyers, are there?

Not that I know of. Ewasted would be the closes one to you.

How far are you from Waukegan,Il Arcoa is in Il. You can go to www.arcoa.com sign up for a free price list. They will send an updated list once a week. Are you planning on bringing the e-waste in yourself or shipping? If your going to ship then just ship the highest grade stuff. Check around and see if you can find a scrap yard that will buy the low grade boards, then things like disk drives and power suply you can take the boards out and scrap the rest.

I am going to stick with Ewasted, but thank you for all of the suggestions. I want to support a fellow member, and also, there is easy contact through the forums.

I am going to make a road trip out of this, with a few friends and I. In 2 weeks, we go on spring break, and we are going to truck my equipment out to sell. After that, I am going to pay to put us in a hotel for the night...are there any in the area that you recommend?

Now that we've confirmend that I will be selling to you, can we discuss the pricing/grading of the items that I have listed above? If PMing me is easier, feel free.

    Thanks!

I asked one of the local yards that doesn't take e-waste if they knew of anyplace that does take e-scrap and they referred me to place that does take it ( and pays pretty decently) around sixty miles away. Couldn't hurt to ask the yards around you if they know of anyone in the vicinity. The place I found doesn't advertise around here and I didn't see that they had anything on the web either. If it weren't for that referral, I wouldn't have found them.

Are you wishing for a place to sell or a place to acquire?
