Old Stereo Equipment Receivers Are Full Of Goodies

Got a call to a barn the other day to get some computers (the guy had tossed them all from the top level of his barn 20ft to the ground—completely smashed old radioshack computers and IMB). Nevertheless, some of the stereo receivers from the early 80s weren’t broken and still worked after dropping 20 ft. Took them home, opened them and there sits a huge 14lb transformer and two huge 4 pound heat sinks. Largest transformer and heat sinks I’ve ever seen and enough insulated wire to wrap around my house a couple times. These guys are worth traveling for if you can get them.

Thats a huge transformer! I found an old radio once and it had a large transformer but no way was it 17 lbs! Nice find Jeremiah!
