    Boston seller?

A person contacted me through CL a few weeks ago will some e-waste he wants to sell. Says my prices are to low and he just talked to a guy in Boston.

The Boston guy is saying he is buying 386 processors for $75 to $125 a piece!
    Also motherboards are $15/Lbs.

Feel this person that contacted me is going to gt ripped off big time. I warned him but can only help a person out so much.

He is blowing smoke. Offer to sell your boards to him at 7/lb and 75/chip and I bet he will not buy it. I know if I was getting those kind of prices, I would jump on 7/lb boards.

Got to love it. Guy just emailed me. NOW the company is buying motherboards for $3.80/lbs and RAM for $8.00/lbs.

Amusing for sure. Just emailed him back to get company name and phone #. Probably wont email me back.

Wondering if he is trying to scam me or this Boston company is scamming him. Either way, definitely making my day since I am just scrapping a few large copy machines from a office.

Yeah, sounds like this guy didn't read the fine print. Their website probably read $15 a pound for Ram and $75 Pound for 386/486 and he thought it was each! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Well, laugh time is over. Refused to tell me the company's name but buyer is legit and he sells the 386s overseas for the "technology not for the gold". Between all the emails it went as follows...

    Recap by email:
    1. Told me he had 24 to 30 computers, tons of CPUs and RAM
    2. Told me he had 100 motherboards
    3. Told me he has a tractor trailer load every month
    4. Told me he was getting $15/Lbs for motherboards
    5. Told me he was getting $75 to $125 each for 386's
    6. Told me he got $115 each for 386's

Wish I had some of his drugs

    I seen it too. motherboards for $3.80/lbs and RAM for $8.00/lbs & 8.00 - 95.00 for CPU's.
Its the Refinning co 877-256-5646 They have no address listed on their web site. Thats a big RED FLAG for me. Contact info is just an 800 number. I don't deal with anyone that isn't willing to put their location out ... up front!
