How much do i offer for car computers?

I have a chance to buy about 50-60 computers outa cars from a customer at my ftj. Im assuming that they are mostly from crown vics since he has a contract with a taxi company to buy there old cars from them. I have no idea what to pay for these. I did a little looking in some past post but didnt come up with a good answer. He is supposed to bring me one tomorrow so i can take a look at it. I will post pics if he gets it to me.

offer $0.08 a pound for anything unknown and you'll probably ocme out ahead. The cases on Ford computers are typically aluminum. the boards are reported to be crappy, but you'll have to tell us for sure.

At $0.08 a pound if the case is aluminum but the board is lowgrade you'll still almost double your money.

Im guessing he aint gonna be interested at that price. Im sure he just throw them back in the car and get .12/lb instead. He said another guy was interested last year but he couldnt remember how much he was offering. But he did say that he wanted to know what year there were so im guessing he was gonna refurbish.

I sell mine to an auto core buyer. Anywhere from $1-$75 each.

As far as breaking them down, my buyer told me to stay away from Fords as they are full of hard tar and impossible to reclaim and they make a mess.
